On Palm Sunday Christians celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before his death and resurrection. For many Christian churches, Palm Sunday, often called “Passion Sunday,” marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday. This Palm Sunday we will have a luncheon after morning services.
Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus Christ’s last, triumphant entry into Jerusalem. According to the Gospels, as Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey, the crowds greeted him by waving and laying palm branches in his path. Next Sunday is Easter. Please attend a church of your choice today and plan to attend next Sunday as well.
