THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RESTORATION

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

"We are called upon to reflect the love of God as much in trial as in tranquility." John Blanchard

Biblical restoration "is to receive back more than has been lost to the point where the final slate is greater than the original."

How the Holy Spirit's work of restoration is best revealed in and thru the life of Joseph in the Book of Genesis. Joseph was abandoned, falsely accused, forgotten, and then favored by God, so that God (the Holy Spirit) would attain that which He had planned for Joseph's life before the beginning of time.
1. ABANDONED: Genesis 37:3-11; 18-28
2. FALSELY ACCUSED Genesis 39:1-3; 7-20
3. FORGOTTEN Genesis 40:1-23
4. FAVORED Genesis 41:9-40

We have often said that God uses people in their circumstances as tong as he/she is willing. God (the Holy Spirit) is in the restoration business, He restored Joseph to the place where Joseph was able to save his people and his family.
