Thanksgiving with me and my Daddy; eating left-overs. When I think on those days I remember Paul writings to Timothy (I Timothy 4: 4, NLT); "Everything God made is good, and is meant to be gratefully used not despised." (Phillips N. T.)

Colossians 2: 6-7 (NLT): The KJV reads "abounding in thanksgiving."

QUOTES ON GRATITUDE:
1. Gratitude is a thermometer that indicates the state of your spiritual
health.
2. Gratitude is a medicine that promotes spiritual health.
3. There is always, always, always something to be thankful for.
Unknown

The question we all must answer is, "Do I have an over-flowing gratitude for God's mercy and grace and love."

Romans 8: 26-28 (NLT). "The meaning is that God causes all things to
work together for good; for things—that is circumstances—do not work together for." Perry Bridges)

Psalm 103: 2-5 (NLT). "The One who fills your life with blessings" (GNT)

Psalm 100: 3-5 (NLT) "Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus our blessed
Redeemer."

Psalm 63: 3-5 Hebrews 12: 28 (NLT) There are two levels of gratitude, let's call them lower and upper.

1. Lower: This is where most Christians dwell.
2. Upper: The higher level involves giving thanks to God for all things,
the good and the bad.

Corrie ten Boom:

CLOSING: Paul always encourages us to be thankful (full of gratitude).

1 Timothy 4:4

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, (ESV)

Colossians 2:6-7

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. (ESV)

Romans 8:26-28

26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (ESV)

Psalm 103:2-5

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (ESV)

Psalm 100:3-5

Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations. (ESV)

Psalm 63:3-5

Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.

My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, (ESV)

Hebrews 12:28

28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, (ESV)

Colossians 3:15

15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (ESV)
